Who is Sylvia Langford?

Psychologist, Author, and Creator of the Langford method

For over forty years, Sylvia Langford has dedicated her career to understanding how individuals of all ages can achieve their goals despite personal, familial, and social challenges.

Her quest for this knowledge has been informed by her diverse experiences as a high-performance athlete, sports coach, private English teacher, clinical psychologist, and advocate for individuals with special needs.

Key Insights

After working with more than 14,000 people, she concluded that:

Human beings require systematic efforts to strengthen their "will to act," cultivate positive habits, and develop the skills necessary to achieve their goals.

Based on these principles, she developed the Langford method, which has been successfully implemented through learning programs for over 80,000 students in Chile and Peru. This method focuses on fostering good habits while enhancing socio-emotional competencies, vocabulary, and mental calculation skills.
