In recent years, concerns regarding classroom dynamics and school coexistence have escalated to alarming levels. Students are not only struggling with their educational processes but also exhibiting behavioral issues within the classroom. Despite the implementation of various strategies and efforts, the situation continues to decline, leaving many students unmotivated and facing a range of behavioral, emotional, and academic challenges.

While schools often implement strategies that target visible symptoms, these efforts frequently fall short as the underlying issues remain unaddressed. If a problem persists, it indicates that the root causes may not be accurately identified, leading to ineffective interventions. Our perceptions and beliefs significantly influence how we diagnose issues and our methods for resolving them.

For many years, psychologist Sylvia Langford has partnered with educators, students, and families to delve into the root causes of these challenges and propose effective solutions. This talk draws on her extensive research and hands-on experience in educational settings, where she offers actionable strategies. Her approach emphasizes the development of constructive habits that not only foster socio-emotional skills but also contribute positively to the classroom environment and enhance student learning outcomes.

Session Objectives:
  • Assess and identify current classroom dynamics.
  • Investigate a transformative shift in educational practices.
  • Introduce the proposed solution as a viable approach.
  • Provide empirical evidence supporting the effectiveness of the proposed methods.
